ABOUT US AND THE TEAM
The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days per week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
In addition, we have moved to a modern campus building, offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.
You will be part of The Marketing, Recruitment, and Admissions Department which plays a vital role in promoting the university's brand, attracting prospective students, and managing the admissions process. This integrated team ensures a seamless journey for students, from initial awareness through to enrolment, by combining expertise in strategic marketing, targeted recruitment efforts, and efficient admissions operations. Through collaborative efforts, the department articulates a compelling narrative of our academic strengths, vibrant community life, and unique opportunities, aligning closely with the university's mission and core values.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be delivering an inspiring programme of student recruitment activities and outreach initiatives to raise the profile of the University and to support the achievement of our student recruitment targets. We are looking for a target driven, enthusiastic and independent thinker, with excellent collaboration and networking skills and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
To excel in this role, you will have experience in student recruitment, outreach or widening participation environments and knowledge of further or higher education student qualifications, admissions, and student finance processes. You will be a confident communicator with experience designing and delivering workshops and presentations to a diverse range of audiences. In addition, you will need to be skilled in managing projects and deadlines concurrently.
