This includes organising social events and being involved in supporting the university sustainability campaigns. Their primary role is pastoral care, in providing the student with someone to talk to regarding a problem. The RSA&rsquo;s also signpost students on to other University support staff: health advisors, counselling, and financial support along with the Student Union range of services.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Other responsibilities include supporting fire safety, responding to emergencies and maintaining good order in the Halls. The Sciences Complex offers The Living Lab, a unique, purpose-built environment reflecting the various settings of integrated care provision, including state of the art laboratories, mock hospital wards, pharmacy dispensary, consultation and examination rooms, clinical skills resource, hi-fidelity simulation suite and Point of Care Centre.</p><p><strong>Your next opportunity</strong></p><p>This role will support the continual development and delivery of the Sunderland School of Pharmacy MPharm and OSPAP provision, ensuring excellence in student experience both on campus and off campus.<br>You will engage with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in pharmacology and clinical therapeutics, anatomy and physiology and health related topics. We are looking for an academic or experienced practitioner with experience of teaching and/or research.<br>To be considered for this post you must have an understanding of pharmacy education and the relevant sciences relating to the pharmacological underpinning of drug therapeutics. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council is preferred but not essential.<br>A teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake one, will be essential.</p><p><strong>Is this you?</strong></p><div>You will bring a strong academic and professional foundation grounded in a first degree in Pharmacology or Biosciences and a relevant postgraduate or Master&rsquo;s qualification, supported by substantial teaching or professional experience within the discipline. You will contribute expertise in applying evidence‑based medicine to clinical therapeutics, alongside the effective use of pharmacological, physiological and pathophysiological knowledge within teaching or clinical practice. You will be involved in the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in pharmacology and therapeutics across undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional development programmes, in line with GPhC standards.
