An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sunderland School of Medicine administration team.
Sunderland School of Medicine welcomed its first cohort of Medical Students in 2019. It is one of only five new Medical Schools established to address the regional imbalance of medical education places across England and to widen access to ensure that the profession reflects the communities it serves. At full capacity we will have a cohort of 500 Medical Students. The School of Medicine sits within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing at Sunderland University which has a track-record of excellence in science and healthcare education spanning almost 100 years.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient individual to develop, implement and maintain administrative systems to support the effective running of the Medical School. You will work closely with the School of Medicine Assessment Lead to support the effective running of the School of Medicine Assessment processes and you will provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team including the Head of School and Undergraduate Programme Lead.
As a School Administrator you will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent. You will have significant experience of working in a similar administrative support role where you can demonstrate your ability to develop, implement and enhance effective administrative processes. You will have proven experience of managing your workload, meeting key deadlines and taking ownership and responsibility for the quality of your work.
You will be proficient in your experience of IT systems and that will include Microsoft packages, web-based systems and databases. You must have excellent team working skills and be confident collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and be flexible in your approach to working.
If you would like to be part of the establishment of the Sunderland School of Medicine and help graduate excellent Doctors who meet the healthcare needs of our current population, this is the role for you.
