The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.  


The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month fixed term period.

The Organisation:

We work with businesses to provide high quality, innovative digital training through our range of eLearning Services, as well as providing a range of digital creative skills. The creative skills aim to help organisations raise their profile and impact across social and web platforms through a range of Creative Services.


The Role:

Foresight eLearning and Creative are looking to employee a passionate Junior Motion Graphics Designer that is looking for the opportunity to grow and develop with an exciting young company. The role will involve working on a range of creative digital projects ranging from short promotional animation works to producing creative content for use in various learning environments for our clients.

The job will involve developing concepts and ideas from their early stages and working with storyboards through to full production of content across a range of media using specialist software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud. This will also include working on video footage as well as producing 2D and 3D animated works.

Key Tasks:

  • Supporting the design and marketing team 
  • Producing digital marketing materials
  • Using Adobe Creative Cloud programmes to produce material
  • Producing illustrations, both traditional and hand drawn
  • Producing digital assets for use in storyboards and character design
  • Applying good sound design principles to video and animated projects 
  • Film editing and animating footage to narrative
  • Developing motion graphics and VFX

Skills and Attitude:

  • Educated to degree level 
  • Confident in communicating ideas in a team environment
  • Keen to broaden their skills across a range of digital mediums
  • Have good time management and able to meet deadlines
  • A self starter who can motivate themselves
  • The ability to work independently at times
  • Highly organised and good work flow management
  • able to contribute to creative concept development and ideas as well as working to set instruction
  • Enjoys working at a fast paced and exciting environment
  • Aiming to excel in their field
  • Willing to occasionally work outside of the studio environment to support client projects on location
  • Keen to understand a varying range of subjects and industries to meet client requirements
  • A flexible approach to work – this is a small team and we all need to get involved outside of our roles at times

Technical Requirements:

  • Sound experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud programmes
  • Competent in producing illustrations (both traditional hand drawn) and producing digital assets for use in storyboards and character design
  • Understand and apply good sound design principles to video and animated projects
  • Able to edit film and animated footage to narrative
  • Able to develop motion graphics and VFX
