This marks a very exciting time for our University, our NHS partners and the City/Region.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">With a track record of excellence in health education spanning almost 100 years, the University is well placed to contribute to the expansion of medical training and help to address the chronic shortage in some medical specialities including general practice in the North East. We have a significant focus on widening access and a recently successful National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) bid to establish our Clinical Academic Training Office (CATO).</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>Your next opportunity</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">As our CATO Educational Administrator, you will be part of a core medical school team and wider university team of six research and education administrators. You will work closely with Clinical and Academic colleagues across the programme, deliver the different functions of the CATO, working with external partners and internal support services.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will provide liaison with timetabling, teaching staff and student recruitment/services/admissions/academic registry/finance, liaison with external partners and regulators. Including the current successful GP ITP programme.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><em>Please note this is a fixed-term position until 31/08/2027.</em></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>Is this you?</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The successful candidate will be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) or have substantial relevant experience in a similar role. You will be involved in the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in pharmacology and therapeutics across undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional development programmes, in line with GPhC standards.
