About the role

The School of Education is currently seeking to expand its pool of Academic Tutors. We are particularly interested in Academic Tutors who could act as module tutors for Master’s in Education modules. We are specifically looking to engage people with significant experience and expertise in SEND related practice which incorporates inclusive education and social emotional mental health. Additionally, experienced early years practitioners will bring additional desirable skills.

Alongside the specialism in SEND, support with delivery and marking on our distance learning/transnational education provision alongside thesis supervision are integral parts of the role.  International education experience desirable. 280 hours fixed term ending on August 30th, 2025.

This is a part time opportunity and hours may vary dependent upon availability.

As an Academic Tutor in Professional Development, you will work within the academic team across the range of provision, and engage in several activities, including the development of teaching materials and high-quality delivery of these, marking of assessments, supporting student progress and supervision of research.

What you can bring 

The successful candidate will hold a master’s in Education (or closely related subject) and should ideally have Qualified Teacher Status with proven expertise in your subject area.
