An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Academic Registry’s Programme Support team for the role of Programme Support Co-ordinator. This is a secondment opportunity, fixed term for 2 years and will support activities across the Faculties of Health Sciences and Wellbeing and the Faculty of Technology. You will support academic teams in the delivery of on- and off-campus programmes of study.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient individual to provide a professional support service to members of staff at all levels, working with colleagues in the Academic Registry and services beyond it.

As a Programme Support Coordinator you will have a Foundation Degree or HND or be educated to A Level standard, with Maths and English at GCSE grade C or equivalent. You will also be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience in a similar role.

You will have proven experience of working in a customer-focused environment, demonstrating the ability to plan effectively with excellent organisational skills. Having strong attention to detail, you will also be able to deal with a variety of difficult situations, including complex and wide-ranging enquiries. You will meet the essential criteria of the role and have experience of supporting off-campus provision.

Your user expertise in IT systems will be extensive and include experience of Microsoft Office, web-based systems and databases. You must have strong team-working skills, be confident taking initiative within agreed parameters but also have the judgment to know when to escalate problems. Being able to develop and enhance systems and processes and be confident handling data is essential.
