The School of Psychology is a small but aspiring School comprising Psychology, Public Health and Counselling, situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing. We are committed to innovation, excellence and adaptability in education and research, following the University of Sunderland Culture Framework. We have been reinvigorating our portfolio of programmes to ensure we are competitive in our offer and that we attract staff and students who fit with our ethos. 

We have recently developed a School Research Strategy, encompassing Health, Wellbeing and Behaviour Change, Male Psychology, and Sex and Relationships where we bring staff, students and external partners together to create meaningful impact in all that we do. Our Male Psychology group has been formally recognised by the University as a research cluster. Our School has a lot to offer the right candidate.
