The Faculty of Business, Law and Tourism has designed and developed the innovative flagship BA (Hons) Chartered Leadership and Management Practice CMDA in collaboration with a range of employers and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

To deliver this ground breaking programme, we are recruiting a dynamic programme team of Academic Tutors with experience of working with work-based professional learners and/or recent experience of working in a managerial position. We welcome applications from candidates with knowledge and experience of the following fields:

• Leading and Managing Organizational Change
• Operations Management
• Human Resources Management
• Accounting and Finance
• Marketing (incl. Digital Marketing)
• Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity

We would particularly welcome candidates with knowledge and experience in Operations Management and Accounting & Finance.

In collaboration with the Programme Leader, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, delivery and assessment of the modules on the programme. You will also be expected to work with learners and their employers to monitor progress, ensure the appropriate and work-based support is in place and agree the focus of work-based assessments and professional projects. Your role will be crucial to ensuring that individual learning journeys are a rich and active partnership where you take a coaching and facilitative approach to developing learners in active collaboration with other students, and their organizations.

You should be a flexible team player committed to continuous improvement in programme design and delivery, confident in working with professional learners who will range from aspiring managers to experienced senior leaders. The programme will be delivered one day per week (afternoon and evening) per week at our St Peter’s Campus in Sunderland, but this location and delivery times could vary in response to employer needs. The exact number of teaching hours will be determined on an individual tutor basis and in line with demand for the programme.
