An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Health Safety and Environment team at the University of Sunderland in the role of Health Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Advisor.

The central HS&E team are a team of specialist professionals who are driven to make continued improvements to HS&E and we support a safe working environment for all.

As part of our team, you will support the Head of Health Safety and Environment in a varied role, providing appropriate advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders, to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of HS&E systems, processes, and policy to enable safe working and fire compliance.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of undertaking HS&E monitoring, inspections and audits.
  • Experience of undertaking and reviewing risk assessments, including fire risk assessments.
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of health and safety law and fire compliance.
