To assist us in the further development of our vision for teaching, research and external engagement in Biochemistry and related areas, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry to join us from September 2019.

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing brings together a variety of disciplines with more than 140 academic staff encompassing Bioscience & Environment, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Public & Allied Health, Sport & Exercise Sciences and Psychology.  We are primarily based around our Sciences Complex which has seen significant investment and now features state-of-the-art teaching laboratories and research facilities that are equipped with industry-standard equipment and instrumentation.

This post provides the opportunity to contribute to the provision of excellent academic practice within the Faculty by making an effective contribution across all areas of academic activity, underpinned and supported by the highest standards of pedagogic practice. You will contribute to teaching and learning, administration and management of related provision and support the continuous development of our programmes. 

To be considered for this post, you must be educated to degree level in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science or related discipline and possess a Postgraduate qualification, or equivalent within a related field.  This will be complemented by your significant experience of developing, supporting and delivering undergraduate teaching and assessment within Higher Education that assures the delivery of a high quality student experience.
