To assist us in the further development of our vision for teaching and research in nursing, pharmacy, health and healthcare sciences we are looking to recruit to the post of Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice, within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.

With more than 100 academic staff encompassing pharmacy, nursing, community and public health, psychology and biomedical, pharmaceutical, sport and environmental sciences, this Faculty is the largest in the University. The Sciences Complex, featuring leading edge laboratory, clinical and CPD resources, offers a superb learning environment for students and a setting for enhanced engagement with professional, NHS and industrial partners. Work is complete on a redevelopment of the Sciences Complex to offer The Living Lab, a unique, purpose-built environment reflecting the various settings of integrated care provision, including mock hospital ward, pharmacy dispensary, consultation and examination rooms, clinical skills resource, hi-fidelity simulation suite and Point of Care Centre.

This role will support the continual development and delivery of the Sunderland School of Pharmacy undergraduate and postgraduate provision, ensuring excellence in student experience both on campus and off campus. You will engage with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in pharmacy practice and health related topics.

To be considered for this post you must be a registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council with up to date knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice and current trends in teaching and learning.  A teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake one, will be essential.
