The Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing brings together a variety of disciplines and educational programmes, with a new vision and redefined strategic ambitions designed to take advantage of the ever-changing higher education landscape. Extensive and ongoing refurbishment of the Sciences Complex has seen significant investment in facilities such as the outstanding Living Lab which is a superb learning environment for students and professionals alike, designed to simulate multiple healthcare environments, yet provide a high level of flexibility. It includes several labs designed to mimic real world environments, for example hospital, point of care facility, a pharmacy dispensary and, a high fidelity simulation suite and debrief/PBL room incorporating clinical skills resources.

An opportunity has arisen within the Technical Team for a Senior Technician in Healthcare to provide technical support within the healthcare environment, ensuring excellence in student experience.
With more than 100 academic staff encompassing pharmacy, nursing, public health, sport, psychology, biomedical, pharmaceutical and environmental sciences, this department is the largest in the University.

The successful candidate will have-

- Experience of provision of advanced user support within a science/healthcare environment, and the use of healthcare equipment including specialised technology as part of the simulation process.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical related setups for treatment and diagnostic care with responsibility for technical/clinical support to deliver an excellent student experience.
- Experience of liaising and networking with stakeholders internal and external to the organisation.
