An opportunity has arisen in the Academic Registry’s Programme Support team for a 10 month secondment in the role of Programme Support Officer. You will support academic teams in the delivery of on- and off-campus programmes of study. Implementing and monitoring all activities in accordance with institutional policies.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient individual to provide a professional support service to members of staff at all levels, working with colleagues in the Academic Registry and services beyond it. As a Programme Support Officer you will have Honours degree, or have substantial relevant experience in a similar role.

You will have proven experience of managing multiple processes, demonstrating the ability to plan effectively with excellent organisational skills. Having strong attention to detail, you will also be able to deal with a variety of difficult situations, including complex and wide-ranging enquiries.

Your user expertise in IT systems will be extensive and include experience of Microsoft Office, web-based systems and databases. Being able to motivate and manage a team to deliver under pressure is essential. You should also be able to develop and enhance systems and processes and be confident handling data.

Experience of managing/supervising other staff to achieve goals is desirable but not essential for this development opportunity. You should be confident managing workloads for yourself and team members on a day-to-day basis, whilst providing support to more senior staff.
