Student Journey is at the heart of all we do at the University of Sunderland, and we offer a range of services to support our students from application to graduation. The Gateway is the focal point for all enquires the team are dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming service, providing advice to students throughout their student journey. The role holder will provide a critical role in developing and maintaining the Gateway systems and processes.

The Gateway Team receives and responds to around 25,000 enquiries from students and staff each year in a multi-channel environment, and manages the provision of information, advice and guidance on topics spanning the breadth of the student journey.
The responsibility of the role holder is to assist in improving efficiencies and processes ensuring the team can quickly respond to enquiries with accurate information. The role will focus on change in operational procedures and using system functionality to automate tasks where possible.

You are required to work independently and as part of a wider department and should not be afraid to challenge opinions to help develop solutions and services to improve student experience. You will have previous experience of utilising data from a CRM system and/or large database to identify opportunities for improvements, implementing the improvements then evaluating success. The role requires familiarity with a variety of systems and liaising with stakeholders across the organisation. This will require comprehensive planning, organisational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

The role holder will be familiar with designing innovative online training materials, as well as creating and editing web content via a CRM.
The role holder is expected to work on campus across both Sunderland sites.
