We currently have Academic Tutor opportunities available in the School of Social Sciences to teach on a range of programmes within the Social Studies team. This opportunity presents a unique opportunity for a candidate with the right skills to gain teaching experience in higher education, working within an established and progressive team in the School of Social Sciences. The role will include teaching in an area of Social Studies, and/or Health & Social Care, marking of assessment and there may be research opportunities available within the team.

We are looking for individuals, educated to Master’s level who can deliver high quality teaching, as part of a teaching team within established programmes such as Health and Social Care, Sociology and Criminology. Areas consist of: understanding health and social care, dimensions in health, social problems, safeguarding, qualitative and quantitative research methods, leadership and management in practice; the life course, health improvement, substance misuse, mental health and disability, social and psychological theories impacting on health, sociological and criminology theory, gender and violence, criminal justice system, policing and counselling.
