At the University of Sunderland the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care programme has gone from strength to strength and we are offering an opportunity to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team. We are looking for a Senior Lecturer to support the delivery and continual development of under-graduate, post-graduate paramedic education and related health profession CPD provision within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing.
The role will involve theoretical and practical teaching and assessment across all three years of the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care programme, and CPD activity depending on the individual's clinical knowledge and expertise areas. You will be supported by experienced academics and the extended university team. We offer an outstanding learning environment with simulated home environment and clinical spaces, state of the art equipment, along with award winning library and student support. Opportunities for personal development are outstanding and include the Helen McArdle Research Institute which uniquely enables all academics to engage with practice research.
The key skills required for the role are:
- Significant previous teaching experience within the higher education sector or experience within a clinical or health care education setting.
- Experience of current trends in teaching and learning in the field of healthcare practice
- Relevant experience and understanding of working with NMC or HCPC approved programmes.
