AMAP are at the forefront of advanced maintenance practices within the UK, and are internationally recognized for their research undertaken in this field. The UK and NE Maintenance Forums are flagship networks developed and ran by AMAP and The University of Sunderland, bridging the gap between academia and industry to facilitate best practice peer to peer case study and knowledge exchange.

This opportunity will provide the researcher a unique chance to work with state of the art manufacturing facilities in a dynamic and fast moving real production environment, with the aim to develop new strategies to support our best practice implementation for advanced maintenance with an internationally renowned engineering organisation.


Candidates should have knowledge and experience of manufacturing techniques and processes as well as knowledge, understanding and experience of advanced maintenance strategy.  Exceptional accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, good communication and organisational skills are also required
