The University of Sunderland is internationally known for quality teaching, 'world-leading' research and has a reputation for producing work-ready graduates. Our School of Computer Science is part of the Faculty of Technology and are looking to expand their capabilities in teaching and research in various areas within the discipline. We are looking to recruit candidates who can contribute to the current Computer Science provision, particularly in the areas of:
- Games Development
- Robotics, AI and Machine Learning
- Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics
- Data Science
We are looking for individuals who want to support the growth and development of our Computer Science programmes and undertake research in related topics to Computer Science - https://www.sunderland.ac.uk/study/computing/

For Senior Lecturer, the ideal candidate will have:
- A PhD in Computer Science or related discipline or extensive equivalent experience.
- Strong practical experience in Computer Science environments, ideally within an applied research context or equivalent.
- Publications record in an area of expertise
- Evidence of success in obtaining research grants
For Lecturer, the ideal candidate will have:
- Enrolled on a PhD and near completion
- Experience of teaching and Computer Science Environments
- Evidence of the ability to publish high quality papers and obtain research grants
