We are seeking to appoint a Service Desk Technician to work within our new service delivery team providing direct and remote support to users of University technology.

This exciting and varied role will see you supporting staff, students and visitors with a wide range of technologies. You will work cross-campus in a variety of different environments from walk up face to face enquiries, supporting our telephone service desk and providing on-site support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience across a wide range of technologies including networking, audio-visual support and application support whilst providing excellent customer service to our varied client base. You will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand the needs of your customers and provide appropriate solutions. You will have an understanding of a range of standard IT software and hardware and have the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

As the successful candidate, you will need to understand and support a culture in the service which supports University and Technical Service priorities, including: embracing change; excellence in customer service; ownership of actions; strong communication; innovation; inclusiveness; collaboration and team working.
