This is a fixed term maternity cover contract until 30 November 2026.

The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days a week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will make a real impact at the University of Sunderland in London as an Events and Facilities Support Officer. In this varied, hands-on role, you’ll help shape memorable and meaningful experiences for students, staff, and visitors by supporting events as well as managing day-to-day campus operations. If you're organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment then this is a great opportunity for you.
To thrive in this role, you will need a strong mix of organisational, interpersonal, and practical skills. Experience in planning and delivering events and supporting office management is essential. You’ll need to be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving is key, along with an understanding of health and safety in event settings.
