ABOUT US
The University of Sunderland in London boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2026 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
In addition, we have recently moved to a modern campus building, offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.
ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE ROLE
You’ll be joining our dynamic Employability and Enterprise team, part of the wider Student Services department, where collaboration and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. Our team works closely with academic colleagues, employers, and external partners to deliver high-quality employability and enterprise activities that make a real difference to students’ futures. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting students through workshops, one-to-one guidance, and digital resources, helping them develop the skills and confidence to succeed in their careers. You’ll also contribute to sourcing work-integrated learning opportunities and coordinating impactful events, all while working in a supportive environment that values teamwork, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
You are passionate about helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market. You thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork and innovation drive positive outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will bring excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners, and a flexible, proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be comfortable delivering engaging workshops and one-to-one support, using data and feedback to continuously improve services. Most importantly, you share our commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and delivering an outstanding student experience.
