ABOUT US AND THE TEAM 

The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2026 and beyond!

We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.

In addition, we have moved to a new, modern campus building offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of teaching across Finance, Financial Technology and Trading at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will design and deliver lectures, workshops and practical learning activities that are current, innovative and aligned with industry needs. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will support student progression, contribute to curriculum development and engage in wider programme activities such as assessment boards, industry events and guest lectures.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated and adaptable with a strong expertise in Finance and Financial Technology. With experience teaching diverse learners both online and in person, you create clear, engaging and industry‑relevant learning experiences. Confident in areas such as financial modelling, financial markets, programming for finance and emerging technologies, you enjoy bringing real‑world tools and ideas into the classroom. Above all, you are committed to excellent teaching, continuous development and helping students succeed in an inclusive, supportive environment.
