ABOUT US AND THE TEAM 

The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2026 and beyond!

We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.

In addition, we have moved to a new, modern campus building offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

You will play a key role in shaping confident, compassionate, and career‑ready nursing professionals. You’ll contribute to the design and delivery of high‑quality teaching primarily on the BSc Nursing Practice (Top-up). bringing learning to life through lectures, workshops, tutorials, and simulation‑based activities. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll support curriculum development, student progression, and an excellent overall student experience. You’ll also contribute to academic administration, collaborate with internal teams to enhance employability opportunities. This is a dynamic, student focused role where your expertise, creativity, and commitment make a real impact.

ABOUT YOU

You are an inspiring and adaptable Registered Nurse with a passion for helping the next generation of nurses thrive. Confident in both clinical practice and teaching, you bring experience of engaging learners through innovative, inclusive and evidence‑based approaches, whether in the classroom, online, or in simulation environments. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, shaping curriculum, and creating an exceptional student experience. Highly organised and proactive, you balance your responsibilities with professionalism and warmth, and you’re excited about contributing to a dynamic academic community while continuing your own development.
