An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sunderland School of Medicine administration team.

Sunderland School of Medicine welcomed its first cohort of Medical Students in 2019. It is one of only five new Medical Schools established to address the regional imbalance of medical education places across England and to widen access to ensure that the profession reflects the communities it serves. At full capacity we will have a cohort of 500 Medical Students. The School of Medicine sits within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing at Sunderland University which has a track-record of excellence in science and healthcare education spanning almost 100 years.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient individual to provide a responsive, customer focussed and adaptable administrative support service to the School of Medicine Academic and Clinical teams.

As a School Support Administrator you will be educated to a good standard of basic education including English and Maths to GSCE Grade C or equivalent. You will have proven experience of working in a similar administrative support role where prioritising a varied workload, effective organisational skills, maintaining confidentiality and working with minimal supervision is key.

You will be proficient in your experience of IT systems and that will include Microsoft packages, web-based systems and databases. You must have excellent team working skills and be confident collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and be flexible in your approach to working.

If you would like to be part of the establishment of Sunderland School of Medicine and help graduate excellent Doctors who meet the healthcare needs of our current population, this is the role for you.
