With an operating turnover in excess of £132m, and a community of more than 20,000 students across two campuses in Sunderland, and branch campuses in London and Hong Kong. The University is a major economic driver in the city and the north east region. Our ambition is to be recognised as a high-quality, modern university that is an exemplar in the creation of knowledge, skills and learning relevant to the 21st Century.

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join the University’s Academic Registry as a Partnership Development Officer. The Academic Registry is a supportive and inclusive service, with staff development and agile ways of working at the heart of its activities. The service provides central support and oversight of a number of key areas, including: programme and placement support; student casework; timetabling and student engagement; examinations and degree ceremonies; and quality support.

The role holder will be responsible for the leadership and development of partnership links and placement opportunities with appropriate providers, identifying potential new partners and forming relationships to create further placement opportunities, with a focus on the University's teacher training provision.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient individual, who is capable of managing a diverse workload and empathises with the vision and values of the University of Sunderland. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across the institution and the partnerships. The successful candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in the management and development of placement provision, who is also flexible, adaptable and approachable. You will be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of seniority, and have excellent team working, communication, planning and organisational skills.

Candidates who are shortlisted should expect to be interviewed via video conference for the role.
