The School of Engineering is part of the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sunderland and are looking to expand their capabilities in teaching and research in engineering digital technologies and smart manufacturing. The school has an international reputation for world leading research, strong local community links and all programmes are developed in partnership with industry. The school is continuing to grow and develop new programmes which are aligned to the university strategic plan. The university has recently invested £1 million in engineering labs to enhance our electrical and material science modules. Recently, our Mechanical Engineering programme obtained 94% overall satisfaction. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of Manufacturing systems and processes, Industry 4 tools and techniques and Digital innovation and Design systems.
In addition, the candidate must have previous experience of programme leadership and in a school or department of engineering (or closely related subject) in Higher Education,
We are looking to recruit a candidate who can contribute to the current engineering provision, develop and deliver new engineering digital programmes and undertake research in related topics.
