The University of Sunderland is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead this unique visitor centre on its Riverside Campus, the National Glass Centre.

The Director will have operational management and oversight of the centre, which attracts 200,000 visitors and is home to a world-leading academic glass and ceramics department as well as the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art.
The post-holder will work closely with Sunderland Culture to programme the galleries and promote the NGC as a centre for excellence and national showcase for the research, teaching and production of glass and ceramics.

We are looking for a Director who can bring moment and a fresh perspective to our vision.
The successful applicant will share an active interest and enthusiasm for contemporary visual arts - particularly glass and ceramics as well as a proven track record of influencing and shaping excellent business outcomes. Previous experience of managing large and complex budgets is essential, alongside demonstrable experience of leading and managing teams.
