An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Academic Registry's Timetabling, Attendance and Graduation Team for the role of a Timetabling and Attendance Assistant.

You will work as part of the timetable team responsible for delivering academic teaching timetables that meet both student and staff needs. Typically working with one or two faculties (or an allocation of programmes which allows workloads to be balanced), you will gather and analyse information from faculties about timetabling needs for taught sessions and examinations; liaising with academics and programme support colleagues to ensure requirements are accurately captured; input data into CMIS, flag conflicts, propose solutions and negotiate with or inform academic colleagues as required.

You will have proven experience of working in a customer focused service environment, and within a role that requires effective planning and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with a variety of difficult situations including complex enquiries which require consideration of issues from a range of different perspectives.

Your user expertise in IT systems will be extensive and include experience of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel. You must be familiar with the use and interrogation of databases and have the ability to use and develop computerised and manual systems to enhance processes. You will also be educated to A level standard or equivalent, and have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.

This post is fixed term until 28 April 2021, and may also be suitable for a secondment opportunity.
