The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.  

The Internship is a full time position.

The Organisation:

Asbestos Audit Ltd is a leading consultancy in Asbestos and Environmental Services, offing asbestos surveying, asbestos management, asbestos removal and compliance with the asbestos regulations. Their highly skilled team of UKAS accredited consultants have a vast knowledge base and work to successfully cater for of all manner of environmental projects throughout the UK.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and focussed graduate to join the team of asbestos surveyors in the role of a Junior Asbestos Surveyor.

Within your role, you will be working to successfully assist with the everyday operations of the company. You will be responsible for supporting lead surveyors on site; assisting with site based operations; recording information and completing paperwork, along with technical reports within MS Office to assist with the completion of projects; undertaking general office duties and meeting with clients and contractors.

You will be predominantly be based in Sunderland, covering areas within the North East. The ability to drive and have access to own transport would therefore be advantageous, but not essential.

This role presents a great opportunity for learning and development, as full, extensive training will be provided and you will be continually supported by the wider team when working towards projects. The right candidate can also expect to achieve a good level of progression within 5-6 years, moving through the roles of Trainee/Junior Surveyor, Lead Surveyor, Consultant, Lead Consultant and upwards. As a Lead Consultant you can expect to be earning in the region of £35k, plus a company car and benefits.
