The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.


The Internship is a full time position.


The Organisation:

Finding techies great teams. We’re a marketplace SaaS platform that uncovers, highlights and curates the most interesting tech work. We use big data and smart matching algorithms to help techies uncover the right workplaces for them, providing insights into company culture, tech stacks, engineering values and salary plus many more to ensure they have all the information needed to make informed career choices. We help employers build their employer brand and increase their tech hiring potential, providing access to unique talent pools and allowing them to directly apply to techies, encouraging a proactive approach to hiring and flipping the process on its head. 

We’re a new, recently funded tech company with a clearly defined vision and we are seeking the team to execute it. We are a team of 3 founders, a tech lead, a technical investor and 2 non-technical advisors who have decades of domain experience. We’re at a very exciting stage of our development as a company and a team, and we are looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced, fast-changing, fast-expanding environment.


The Role:

We want someone who loves JavaScript and React, who can work diligently alongside our tech lead on a new project and help build it from scratch. Experience with node.js and MongoDB is a plus. Our ideal someone is willing to learn new tools and technologies to develop our mobile application on both iOS and Android, and who is motivated by working in a startup environment. 

You will be supported on a daily basis by our tech lead and our three founders, however this role comes with responsibility and the need for a level of self-sufficiency while working. It will encompass every stage of the development cycle, from scoping to completion. You do not need to have experience with planning, building and deploying entire projects but you will need an understanding of CI/CD and devops fundamentals with a view to contributing to various stages of the process. It will be a great opportunity to work on the complete development of a project and you will be very much a part of driving product development, and central to its success.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of the codebase 
  • Providing technical support and assistance 
  • Bug fixing and testing
