The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care has been established within the School of Nursing & Health Sciences for a number of years and continues to go from strength to strength. We are seeking an experienced paramedic practice educator with a passion for education and supporting the students' journey, to undertake the role of Programme Lead for the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care throughout this exciting time and to be involved in the next steps in the education of paramedic practitioners of the future.

The role requires the successful candidate to be an autonomous practitioner who can offer expert information, guidance and guidance to support students and the wider team. You will join our innovative, creative and passionate team of paramedic practice educators and contribute to our thriving partnership with schools, colleges and healthcare providers. The role is required to put the student (and patient) at the heart of the education and also usage of innovative technologies to support the student progression and journey.

This Senior Lecturer post is an exciting and challenging role, requiring excellent knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning and supporting staff and students within and across teams, successfully leading the improvements in the programme and to contribute to the promotion of teaching, research and reach-out activities across the School and wider Faculty.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of current trends in teaching and learning in the field of paramedic science and / or health care practice
  • Relevant experience of working with HCPC approved programmes
  • Significant previous teaching experience within the higher education sector.
