This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of our Education provision in the vibrant School of Education at The University of Sunderland and to contribute to the promotion of teaching, research and reach-out activities across the School. You will join our creative team of academics, researchers and teacher educators and contribute to our thriving partnership with education settings across the world. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly as part of our Academic Tutor bank.
The University of Sunderland is nationally and internationally recognised for the calibre of our provision which includes:
- Initial Teacher Training for Primary and Secondary Undergraduate and Postgraduate routes
- Masters in Education for On-Campus and International routes
- International and Independent Distance Learning PGCE Education and PGCE Early Years Teaching.
- PCET Training for post-16 phases.
Recent additions to our provision in the School of Education include: our BA (Hons) Primary with SEND QTS and MA SEND programmes.
You will work within our Education team across a range of modules, contribute to the wider developments of your specialist area/s and engage in online and face to face student support where appropriate. Contributing to subject teaching and curriculum development of designated modules and programmes, you will lead on/contribute to pedagogical practices in Education. You will have Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent and if interested in teaching on the Masters provision be qualified to Masters Level.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have specific specialisms including but not limited to equality and diversity areas, curriculum subject and phase strengths, foundation subjects and mentoring and coaching, etc.
