The University of Sunderland are the lead Partner for the ESF Contract ‘North East Workforce Skills project’ which seeks to develop a wider, more holistic suite of provision, designed to support employers within Tyne and Wear and Northumberland upskill their workforce and stimulate apprenticeship growth.


This project has been designed to primarily support the development and delivery of higher skills at L3 and above and provide businesses the opportunity to gain the skills they need through accredited, bespoke and non-accredited training. MTC Training along with several other partners are supporting the delivery of this project through to December 2023.
MTC is a training provider offering a range of accredited courses in a wide range of IT and project management, as well as a portfolio of Apprenticeship Programmes. MTC’s core objective is to serve the North East region as a leading provider of accredited training.

Due to extensive demand for Management training via this project a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and professional Quality Assurance, Assessment & Curriculum Development Lead to support the development and high quality completion of the North East Work Force Skills ESF Project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the monitoring of delivery and quality assurance of the assessment process, to ensure that workplace assessments of competence and performance meet relevant quality standards. Candidates will have previous experience of delivering training, including the design and development of curriculum materials. In addition to this, demonstrable experience of Internal Quality Assurance processes and Awarding Organisation requirements for Management at levels 3 to 5 are essential.

Previous demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining business client relationships and networking with both commercial and public sector organisations. Strong organisational skills and the ability to carry out administrative duties accurately and efficiently will be required to undertake this role.

This post is part funded by the European Social Fund and is fixed term to 31/12/2023.
