This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and training of prospective nurses undergoing the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship in the vibrant School of Nursing and Health Sciences and to contribute to the promotion of teaching, research and reach-out activities across the faculty. You will join our creative team of nurse educators and contribute to our thriving partnership with schools. The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship is now in its second year and students are selected from our partner NHS and private providers.

We are seeking an experienced Adult nurse with a passion for education, and supporting the apprentices in a practice setting on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. The role also requires the successful candidate to take be an autonomous practitioner who can offer expert knowledge, guidance and support to the nurse apprentice and the wider team. The Apprentice Educator Supervisor in Practice role is both exciting and challenging and requires excellent knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning; supporting staff and trainees within and across teams, and successfully leading modules in an HEI setting. The post holder will be required to support Registered Nurse Degree Apprentices in the practice setting, enabling them to achieve clinical competency and the programme learning outcomes. They will work with the wider apprenticeship team to develop and resources and deliver teaching to a high standard. The AESiP will also act as an academic assessor.

You will have a post graduate qualification, preferably in education or specialist clinical practice and have wide experience in the practice supporting students. If you hold the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
