About the role
This role will work in partnership with parents and Childcare Officers to provide high-quality childcare and education to children aged from birth. In addition, a key focus of the role will be to support the childcare cook in providing a variety of meals for the children within the nursery.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
What you can bring
We are looking for someone who can:
Demonstrate an understanding of child development and the Early year’s foundation stage curriculum.
Understand the role and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and SEND.
Convey passion and motivation about working within early years and childcare.
What we can offer you

- Local Government Pension Scheme
- My Lifestyle Benefits Platform – where you can enjoy online discounts at hundreds of retailers every day.
- Sign up to schemes that allow you to buy a new car, bike, or technology at a discount.
- Access Private medical insurance, health cash plans and advice and guidance on financial wellbeing.
- An on-site nursery catering for children from birth to school age, which is open throughout the year.
- Discounted membership for CitySpace Fitness – the University’s iconic facility for sports and social activity.
- Access to our support staff networks, free campus bus travel, events and much more.
