We are offering a rare, exciting opportunity for a Childcare Assistant to join an established team and childcare service.

About the role

This role will work in partnership with parents and Childcare Officers to provide high-quality childcare and education to children aged from birth. In addition, a key focus of the role will be to support the childcare cook in providing a variety of meals for the children within the nursery.

This is a 30-hour post working 6 hours a day, the working pattern will be somewhere between the hours of 10.30am and 6pm (dependent upon business needs) and the nursery is open all year round other than the Christmas closure period. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

We are looking for someone who can:

Demonstrate an understanding of child development and the Early year’s foundation stage curriculum.
Understand the role and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and SEND.
Convey passion and motivation about working within early years and childcare.
