The School of Engineering is part of the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sunderland and they are looking to expand their capabilities in teaching and research in Electrical engineering.

The school has an international reputation for world leading research, strong local community links and all programmes are developed in partnership with industry. The School is continuing to grow and develop new programmes which are aligned to the University strategic plan.

The University has recently invested £1 million in engineering labs to enhance research and teaching across all areas of our curriculum. In addition, the school is planning to further develop our learning spaces to inspire and teach current and future engineers. We are looking to recruit a candidate who can contribute to the current engineering provision, develop and deliver our engineering programmes and undertake research in related topics.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of Electrical Engineering which may include specific expertise in a topic sector. As well as demonstrating qualifications and experience in these areas, an understanding of how these disciplines integrate within a modern manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
