We are looking for Academic Tutors to help deliver our BA (Hons) Social Media Management degree and related courses. This would include designing, teaching and assessing modules with support from academic staff. You will have experience as a practitioner in some or all of the following areas - ecommerce and social media advertising; digital marketing, social media strategy and campaigns; community management and engagement; data analysis, social media analytics and data visualisation; and crowdsourcing.

As an Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland your professional development in HE teaching and learning practices will be supported. In time that could lead to professional recognition in the sector.

Our Academic Tutors play a fundamental role within our teaching provision and we are looking for individuals that have the passion and experience to support our strategic ambitions. This is an opportunity to teach part-time at a professions-facing institution which was shortlisted for the Times and Sunday Times University of the Year award in 2021 in the well-regarded School of Media and Communications.

Our media courses have been recently refreshed and are delivered in the Lord David Puttnam Media Centre which is undergoing a further £1.4m upgrade to facilities after significant investment last summer. The Media Centre is home to students on a wide range of courses as well as media partners such as BBC Newcastle, Tyne and Wear Local and the Sunderland office of Hollywood production company Fulwell '73.
