The Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing brings together a variety of disciplines with more than 200 academic staff encompassing Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Biosciences, Nursing, Public & Allied Health, Sport & Exercise Sciences and Psychology.

Our Cosmetic Science programmes offer outstanding training for students wishing to enter the cosmetics industry. We offer not only state of the art facilities but also have industry leading companies and experts integrated into the very heart of programme delivery. This combination of academic and industrial interaction offers the most up to date and industry ready training possible for our students. The rapid expansion of these courses has led to an exciting opportunity to recruit a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer with expertise in Formulation Sciences to join the team.

This post provides the opportunity to contribute to the provision of excellent academic practice in the formulation sciences and related areas within the Faculty by making an effective contribution across all areas of academic activity, underpinned and supported by the highest standards of pedagogic practice. In particular, you will contribute to teaching, learning, assessment, management and development of the BSc and MSc Cosmetic Science programmes and more generally on related pharmaceutical science programmes at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. The successful candidate will conduct research in the formulation sciences leading to high quality outputs, develop collaborations within the University and the wider academic and industrial community, and attract research income.

To be considered for this post, you must be educated to degree level and possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant formulation science-based discipline, or have relevant industrial experience working within the field of formulation sciences, cosmetic sciences, personal care or fragrance industries. The successful candidate will be an engaging educator with experience of developing, supporting and delivering teaching and assessment within the Higher Education environment and have experience of conducting research in the formulation sciences.
