Further details:    Job Description

This is an exciting time for the Centre for Enhancing Learning and Teaching (CELT) as we grow our services to support the delivery of an excellent student experience and help bring the new Student Success plan to life.

We are looking to recruit to a new role of Teaching Enhancement and Sustainability Manager. This is an important role within CELT for an experienced learning and teaching professional. You will play an essential part in implementing institutional priorities to develop a quality learning and teaching student experience and work collaboratively with colleagues across the institution to deliver pedagogical innovation. Working closely with the Head of Learning and Teaching Enhancement and other senior colleagues within CELT you will be a core member of the CELT management team and as such will contribute to service planning and delivery.

You will be programme leader for our PgCE - Higher Education and MA in Higher Education and will also oversee our AdvanceHE recognition scheme so experience of programme leadership of similar programmes is important as is knowledge, experience and ideally research related to contemporary pedagogies. Significant knowledge of AdvanceHE fellowship accreditation is essential. Key to success in the role will be your ability to facilitate and lead communities of practice that support learning and teaching enhancement so an ability to build and sustain effective relationships with colleagues is important. As you will be the primary lead for academic development, experience of designing and delivering short programmes for academic colleagues and coaching/mentoring would be beneficial.

For further information or to organise an informal discussion about the role, please contact Claire Hoy, Head of Learning and Teaching Enhancement - claire.hoy@sunderland.ac.uk or please call 07815445982.
