It is an exciting time to join University IT with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in an environment which has just undergone a five year journey in rationalisation, modernisation and refresh, adopting SaaS and Cloud first as underlying principles. The IT team delivers the IT strategy, governance, security, development, operational resilience, and customer service that underpins the academic and corporate health of the University, we provide a high level of expertise and knowledge across all parts of the University across the global operation.

As Head of IT Services, you will lead the core University IT team focusing on delivering to the Digital Plan. The role is integral in shaping the future of this service and transforming the delivery of our core IT services across the University and our connect partners. The team is part of a large-scale cloud-first technical transformation programme developing infrastructure and services in Microsoft 365 and Azure and is now about to start another five year programme embedding Enterprise Architecture.

We are seeking an experienced leader to identify and manage the resources needed for budgeting, estimating, planning, developing and delivering a specified portfolio of technology services and systems. 

The ability to develop and maintain high performing teams across both internal staff and external partners is key to this exciting role. The ability to influence stakeholders to service development and management to meet the service levels, security requirements and quality standards required by the University.
