The University of Sunderland is a global institution operating across our four main sites at Sunderland, London and Hong Kong. In Sunderland we have our City Campus, which is at the centre of our modern city, and the University’s impressive riverside campus only a mile away. Estates and Facilities provide a service across a number of University buildings and to a large student and staff population.

This role will focus on providing efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative support to Capital Projects Team and the wider Estates and Facilities Senior Management team as required. A key part of the role will be the co-ordination of external and internal meetings and diary management. The post holder will act as a key point of contact for the wider University community, partner organisations and external bodies requiring contact with Estates and Facilities.

The ideal person will have:

  • Experience of providing comprehensive and confidential administrative support to Senior Managers
  • Demonstrable experience of minute taking and high level diary management and task planning
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise a demanding workload whilst working under pressure

The University offers a generous holiday entitlement, 26 days a year holiday plus 13 public closure days, and the University closes between Christmas and New Year. Staff have access to LGPS pension scheme. The role is 30 hours Monday to Thursday, although predominantly office based, occasional home working is possible.
