We have an exciting opportunity within our Home Student Recruitment Service for an extremely motivated and effective Student Recruitment Assistant. Our Post 16 Schools, Colleges and Partnerships Team are a highly flexible, highly professional outward facing student recruitment team who work across the North East region and the wider UK providing innovative and engaging outreach designed to promote Higher Education and encourage application to the University of Sunderland.

Working under the direction of a Student Recruitment Officer, you will plan and carry out a variety of student recruitment and outreach activity, both on and off campus and via a range of face to face and digital formats. You will become an integral part of this busy team and will also represent the University at various Higher Education Fairs both regionally and nationally, participate and contribute to Open Days and work across other student recruitment project areas as and when required. The successful candidates will also offer support to other areas of the Home Student Recruitment Service and may be assigned to other existing project areas as business needs demand or as they develop.

You will be knowledgeable about Higher Education and have a good working knowledge of both the HE and FE/6th Form sector.
The successful candidates will be based within our City Campus, Sunderland and will be expected to work within various school and colleges across the North East region on a day to day basis and across the wider UK as and when required.

This role requires a full clean driving license and access to a car for daily working purposes. The role requires an enhanced DBS. A flexible approach to working is also essential.

A high level of flexibility and independent working will be required for this role as the role will include working weekends and evenings across the academic year as and when required. You will be an excellent communicator with outstanding customer service skills and will have the ability to develop and maintain effective professional cross team / institutional working relationships.
