The Marketing team within Sunderland Business School has a unique and exciting opportunity for an aspiring scholar with high potential to join our teaching team and complete a sponsored PhD in the field of Digital Marketing.

The successful candidate will develop and extend their experience within the profession through undertaking academic teaching and administrative duties for fifty percent of their working time, whilst utilising the remaining fifty percent of their time to complete their PhD.

This four year fixed-term contract brings with it all the benefits of working within a progressive University environment and at completion candidates will have completed their PhD and gained a wealth of experience in teaching. This will put any individual in a strong position to apply for opportunities as full-time members of the academic community.

We are looking for an individual that is passionate about their subject field, has a clear idea of where their research focus will be and is able to balance the pressure of completing a PhD with teaching responsibilities. We would welcome applications from individuals starting in their academic career as well as those from individuals that have industry experience and are looking to transition into the academic world.
