It’s an exciting time of development, investment and growth within the School of Computer Science at the University of Sunderland. We’ve recently acquired a state-of-the-art Immersive environment – The Igloo. Offering our staff and students cutting edge facilities for learning and research. In addition, we have a new Virtual Reality facility, Industry 4.0 automated workspace with full Vicon tracking, and dedicated Network and Cybersecurity labs.

We’re looking to appoint a Principal Lecturer Team Leader. Someone with the expertise and capability to support the Head of School to provide strategic academic leadership in line with the University’s Vision, Strategic Ambitions and Objectives and related Faculty academic plans. Someone to provide operational management and motivation to the team.

You will have demonstrable subject expertise and knowledge of current and upcoming developments in relevant subject areas. As well as a record of successful leadership and staff management and creativity in developing new ideas and solutions to problems.
