The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.  

The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month fixed term period.

The Organisation:

Napper Architects is a Newcastle based architectural practice which has worked nationally from the northern region since its formation as a partnership by Professor Jack Napper in 1946. The Company incorporated in January 2002 and operates from 3 Waterloo Square, Newcastle, a purpose designed office and residential scheme designed by Napper.

A multi-talented professional workforce of fully qualified architects, interior designers, technicians, landscape architects and 3-d visualisation which allows us to provide the primary Architectural services as well as master-planning, interior design, landscape architecture, 3d computer visualisation and CDM Principal Design services.

We believe each project is unique and to each and every project we commit a depth of skill and quality of design, acknowledged in over thirty architectural and related design awards over the last ten years. This design quality runs throughout our vast experience of significant and major projects we have completed within all sectors for a varied Client base. 

The Role:

Working under the guidance of a Director, the graduate will provide assistance on the delivery of architectural projects as well involvement in the general day-to-day office management. 

Graduates are to have successfully completed their ‘RIBA Part 2’ Degree in Architecture from a recognised University. They should be able to demonstrate a high level of design capability and working knowledge of relevant design software including Autocad and Revit.
