The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.  


The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month fixed term period.


The Organisation:

We are a Recruitment and Training Agency servicing UK public sector clients predominately in the health and social care sector. 

LSS acts as a conduit for our public sector clients in terms of recruiting the right quality of candidates on a temporary to permanent basis.

We also train our temps as and when required.


The Role:

The responsibilities of a Recruitment Consultant will include managing the recruitment cycle.

Work in partnership with other LSS employees for recruitment/training purposes.

General admin and compliance tasks will also be undertaken.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Create and market vacancies on job boards and other locations.

•    Complete pre-employment checks in a timely manner.

•    Be a brand advocate of LSS healthcare promoting it has a brand of choice in the local market. 

•    Participate in marketing and recruitment opportunities including job fairs.

•    Undertake CV search.


Essential and Desirable Criteria

•    Previous recruitment experience, ideally health and social care recruitment, would be desired but not essential.

•    Individual who enjoys working in a small energetic team.

•    Ideal candidate will be methodical and a lateral thinker.

•    Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision.

•    Punctual and organised individual required.
