The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.
The Internship is a full-time position.
The Organisation:
David Lawson Photography Studios founded in 1984 is a North East Photographic Studio home to award winning photographers David and his son Josh. We create and photograph images for clients and companies and pride ourselves on our reputation and customer base we have built up over the last 38 years. We are proud winners of over 200 National and International Awards and are continuing to grow and expand our third-generation family business. We specialise in Studio Portrait, Wedding and Commercial Photography. |
The Role:
A fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking for a career in photography and digital marketing, with an award-winning photographer. We are looking for someone ready to kick start their career and help us generate leads for our growing client portfolio. This role would ideally be suited to a graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years' experience looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair and some experience in working in a photography studio or in a photography-based environment, with an understanding of how to capture, compose, edit and build a good relationship with the client. Key tasks and responsibilities: Based from our Sunderland Studio, you will be working as part of a friendly, motivated and highly skilled team to carry out photography, social media and administrative tasks including: Capture high-quality photography and social contentSupport the Directors with their clients, assisting on jobsDevelop engaging social media content, expanding our presence on all platforms and develop social media campaigns.Inspire and lead by example through a culture of continuous improvementWork across all sectors of our business and improve your skills/abilities within themSupport with continuous development of technical specifications relating to photography, lighting and retouchPrepare sets and check photographic equipment is in good working order and highlighting the need for any repairsWork closely with David and Josh to ensure that deadlines are met and pre-post shoot processes are followedAdministrative Tasks such as Answering Enquiries/Emails/Phone Calls/Social Media Messages/Booking in clients

This is a full-time position (37 hours). You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship to qualify for this role and must be available to work full-time.
